Background

Julia (Yuqing) Zhang is a highly motivated undergraduate student based in Los Angeles, currently pursuing a B.S. in Cognitive Science at UCLA (Class of 2028), with a 4.00 GPA and a top-tier International Baccalaureate score (44/45, ranked 1st of 48). She combines academic excellence with hands-on leadership and marketing experience in early-stage tech startups, art platforms, and university government.

Julia has held multiple marketing internships—including at Pawsible.io, TEAOC.ART, and Stitch AI—where she created branded digital content, managed social media, led user engagement strategies, and contributed to UI/UX improvements. At UCLA's Resident Government Council, she was elected to represent over 870 residents, managing event publicity and communication outreach.

In consulting roles with DataTalks Consulting and Consulting Connect, Julia led data-driven strategy projects for nonprofits in health and advocacy sectors, analyzing CRM systems, evaluating mental health initiatives, and delivering structured, actionable insights.

Julia also co-founded the American Collegiate Go Association, growing its community to 200+ Discord members and organizing major collegiate tournaments. She is fluent in Mandarin and French, skilled in tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, C++, and deeply interested in human decision-making, the Go strategy game, and digital design.
