Background

Sam Kobrosky is a results-driven MBA candidate at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business (Class of 2026), concentrating on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Pittsburgh, with a focus on international relations and American history.

Sam brings over four years of experience in financial services with BNY Mellon and PNC Bank, where he specialized in business analysis, loan support, and international trade services. At BNY Mellon (2023–2024), he increased departmental productivity by 17%, helped recover $5 million in undocumented revenue, and consolidated KPI reporting for over 200 employees. Prior to that, at PNC (2020–2023), he managed a $900 million loan portfolio, accelerated project timelines, and optimized operations that earned internal recognition and enhanced regulatory compliance.

Sam's earlier experience includes customer service leadership, data process optimization, and team training—demonstrating strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills. Notably, he received an award at PNC for his process innovations and played a pivotal role in high-value trade deal negotiations.

Outside the workplace, Sam earned the Eagle Scout rank, led volunteer initiatives such as park restoration, and was a Massachusetts State Geography Bee Finalist, reflecting his early leadership and analytical strengths.
